My boyfriend and I want to plan a romantic getaway (maybe a honeymoon) in the British Virgin Islands. All of the websites I have been to so far don’t seem to be legitimate, and I have heard of nightmare scenarios like vacation scams. I don’t want that to happen to me. My question is… Is there a website with a good reputation that can help us plan our dream vacation in the British Virgin Islands?

Basically someone two cars ahead of me made a sudden stop, the woman in front of me had to stomp the breaks in order to stop from hitting her, I was not so lucky. Me being in a F-150, it’s not so easy to stop on a dime, so I hit the woman in front of me, causing minor damage to the back bumper of her car.

The car is not hers, it is a rental car, and I was told by a few people that because the damage was minor, their insurance company would probably not go after my insurance company for money. The Police were called and a report was filed. Is there any chance at all my insurance company will not find out about this, I really can’t afford the rate hike. Am I screwed?

We used them and they should be rated #1 because we have used others and they are very bad.

I’m taking this vacation alone (maybe a couple of the fella’s if they clear it with the wife). I’ve excluded NY and Las Vegas becuase I’ll be going to those places in the upcomming months. This is my first seperate vacation (without the wifey) and I’d like to go someplace with some seriously good nightlife or Great rollercosters.

Things I like to do on Vacation…

Drink
Club (Hip Hop or Mixed)
Stay out late
Gamble (but somewhere that has other attractions or I may exceed my budget)

or

Ride Roller coaster (If there are any theme parks open in April I’d go visist if they have an exceptional roller coaster.

I know some of you have had exceptional Vacations and if you could recommend a place I’d apareciate it, thank you.
dcgirl GREAT answer, but I forgot to include, I’m from Houston so I go to New Orleans about once every 3 month, I’ve been so much It wouldn’t be worth my first solo vaction. Thanks for the answer though if I had never been you’d definatly have got Best Answer…

To every one else….

I’ve excluded New Orleans too… I go there too much already.

I check in a Hotel and ask for Monthly payment. The manager said, they have no monthly that there was a list.
So I ask for a weekly – the manager told us that we could only stay here for 4 weeks and check out, and if we want to to check back in – we had to wait 28 days before we can check back in the California Hotel/motel.
During our stay, we found out that he has given other people monthly, and were not on the list, .. and we found out that there are lots of people who is living in this Hotel – more then a year or 6 month paying weekly.
also the place has roaches too.
help. I feel i was miss treated or lyed too
can i report this too someone…..
monthly – he gave it to people he knew and just check in.
the owner is always listen to him.
roaches – I saw 2 or 4 roaches

can i report it or something

I’ll be staying with friends, so hotels and car rentals are not a problem.
I’m american, so I’ll be using American dollars

stops and time isnt a factor and if you know good hotel prices that would be very appreciated

I was wondering if there is a car rental company that will take you to different state. like take you from Michigan to Texas. For cheap to, like a daily rate. If there please let me know, and if there is a site for the company please list that too.

I’m planning a vacation for my mom and I. We’re going to Jamaica the first week of September 2009. Is this too risky a move, in reference to hurricane season? My mom’s a little nervous about getting stuck on the island with a hurricane.

Mr friends and I are looking for an inexpensive location for our next road trip/ vacation. We’re planning on going somewhere this next May. We’ve already done Mackinac Island in Upper Michigan, Wisconsin Dells, and Door County in Wisconsin. Any new suggestions?
