what month should i book my car rental for next july to get cheaper rates.

I went to rent toyota suv,I went online and they gave me the rate 69.99 for suv in that class ,so i made reservations and when i got there the guy rented the car to me said they have special 100.00 flat rate he goes i even wavie the underage fee .i rented a suv week before hand never had problem.so i go to check out the guy goes the total 400.00 dollars for three days .I was like WHAT! he said no i meant 100.00 day plus the underage fee i go rented the same suv week ago it wasn’t 100.00,he goes we changes prices day to day .but i said you told me you were going give me deal ,he goes i never said that ,i guess my fault because he didn’t write it.
The clerk didn’t say anything why would i pay 100.00 day for toyota fj crusier .he said that was luxury suv .that they can change prices for whenever they want and i rented hummer and got it cheaper .

Okk I am asking this question for a friend.. she had rented a car month back and she had rented it on Visa Platinum card. Visa Platinum covers the collision damage on car rentals. Now, she ended up scratching the car against an object in the garage. So she has the claim papers ready and the visa card will pay for the damage to the rental company. She had declined the liability coverage as she had an Insurance provider. Now the platinum claim papers also require the copy of this insurance. There was no police report or anything. It was just body damage in the region which was scratched.

My question is, will this accident go against her /[current insurance] in any way and should she fear about seeing a hike in her current insurance rates because of this incident?

I hit a car yesterday. The claim total is 840.00 and they would like me to pay for a two day car rental out of pocket. I don’t feel that I was at fault, but I don’t want my rates to go up if I claim this accident. Do rates automatically go up if you have one claim on your insurance. I also want the other drivers insurance to be aware of the accident if my insurance company pays for it. Any suggestions?

I am a foreign citizen and we would like to buy a car in San Francisco for a cross country trip. The only problem seems to be the car liability coverage insurance, which is obligatory to have when driving. How the others do, who make such trip? Are there insurance companies offering daily rates, or periodical packages with not American drivers’ license? Car rental places offer liability insurance for 12.99 per day, so I think of something, like that.

Dutchmaster, you are right I need to learn the formulas myself, however I never had any good math teachers. I think once I entered high school that changed, but it wasn’t because I wasn’t willing to learn. The teachers just were that interested I guess.
