I’ll be staying with friends, so hotels and car rentals are not a problem.
I’m american, so I’ll be using American dollars

   Are you American? If so, don’t worry about exchanging money. Most places will take US dollars. I still suggest taking out some local currency — generally the best rate can be found by using a bank machine once you get there.

   You culd probably get by on $20/day. $100/day would be at the high end. Perhaps $50/day would be a good average.
