I am up to about 1,500$ with hotel and airfare only. Does this sound about right. I want a nice hotel and am flying in from Boston. Would i be able to go somewhere nicer for this price? This is my first time planning a vacation and I want to plan the nicest vacation for my money spent!

   Depends what you’re looking for in a vacation. 2 people can go to Cancun for 5-6 days and stay at an All-Inclusive resort (top notch) for about $2000 if you watch for deals. You can go to a similar resort in the caribbean for about $2500-3000 per couple (again, top notch resorts, all-inclusive). I have hundreds of pictures posted on my site, take a look and let me know if you have any questions and I can probably get you more details on what we paid for these trips. The key is to watch for deals and to decide what you want to do (ie Beach, Historic stuff, entertainment (Disney, Clubs, Parties etc).
