I think the Olympics are FIXED. Do you?
It is my opinion, that in some way or another, by some one or group of ‘extremely’ rich individuals, the games are FIXED. There is something seriously wrong with the judging and the events themselves. Just three example, of the many, are:
Michael Phelps did NOT win that 7th gold medal. I don’t care what the electronic timing pad said; I don’t care what they claim; I don’t care what they keep on saying. He did NOT win that race. Some ‘powers-that-be’ WANTED him to win that race, and that’s all there is to it. The electronic pad may have been tampered with. I have played, and played, and replayed that race in regular time and slow motion ’till I’ve worn out the tape, and there is no way he won that race.
Another example is in women’s gymnastics. During the final vault, a young girl, representing the United States, did a perfect exercise, with only one tiny step on the landing. When the Chinese girl did her vault it was good too, but she actually ‘fell’ over onto her knees and arms when she landed. The result of this was that the Chinese contestant got a ‘much higher’ score than the American. What the **** is that all about?
Yet another example is during the synchronized women’s diving. When the Americans did their dive, they were in perfect sync from start to finish. When the Chinese girls dove, just as they jumped on the board one had her left leg up while the other had her right leg up. They were OUT of sync, and yet ‘no one’ noticed, and again, they received a much higher score than the USA. I caught it when I played it back in slow motion. Even the TV commentator did not see it. What the hell is that?
Now, on the news this morning there is this big controversy that one of the Chinese girls that won in gymnastics was under age and actually only 14 years old. Of course the Chinese claim not, but it just furthers my feelings on this whole thing.
Maybe I’m full of it and don’t know what I’m talking about, but there’s something screwy going on. I realize, of course, that other countries, including China, have great athletes that ARE better than some of those from the US, but come on, fare is fare and right is right and just is just and truth is truth. I also have a feeling that these goings-on could also have something to do with the fact that since China is hosting the games they don’t want to lose face, sooooooo.
I don’t know. I just don’t like dishonesty, especially when it comes to something that’s SUPPOSED to be as wholesome as the Olympic Games. And, I feel there is something ‘dishonest’ going on here.

No.
There’s no doubt there could be human error- especially in the more subjective judgings. But it’s a bit of a stretch to say they are fixed.
nope just because you americans are second place in the medal standings(the horror) you know have to start quesioning things.the chinese are just that much better than u .period.so are the russians ,japanese etc.
I believe that if the Olympics were fixed ther is no way that the U.S. would have allowed Afghanistan to win its first ever Medal! so know….you are quite mistaken.
You cant make any comments on the judging unless you are a judge yourself.
They take into account the difficulty, entry and stuff like that when judging gymnastics not just the landing. Same with the diving, its not ALL about sync.
Although i do agree with some things you said….like the young chinese gymnasts. One of the girls still had her baby teeth.
I also find China’s whole attitude towards the games dodgy. It makes me cringe when i hear stories about children being taken from their parents and only visiting them once a year.
As for Michael Phelps…i dont like him and his attitude all that much but he is an AMAZING swimmer and no one can take that away from him. The who 7th medal thing was heaps dodgy but come on… rigging the entire games? There is probably some stupid technical rule behind the whole thing.
Not sure why i took up so much of my time writing that….
You have a point, there is money and power in a simple investigation.
Having younger, and presumably smaller and more nimble athletes, can be a significant advantage in some gymnastics disciplines. Romania’s Nadia Comaneci scored seven perfect 10s in the 1976 Games when she was just 14, before FIG set the age limit.
This investigation isn’t fair to the sport of gymnastics, which will forever look suspiciously on the competition here. It isn’t fair to the United States, Romania and Russia, who all deserve to move up one spot on the medal stand if China used ineligible athletes.
And it isn’t fair to China, He and her teammates, who if innocent don’t deserve this to hang over their heads forever.
The IOC and FIG have never been about fair, though. They’ve been about kowtowing to the powerful and cashing the checks. They have so lost their way, have become so insulated by the power, they can’t even fathom no one is accepting a kangaroo court investigation
I THINK U NEED A PSYCHIATRIST TO …FIX…YOU …DONT U ?>
It’s all fixed. Olympics, professional sports around the globe, “reality” tv. And if you don’t think so, you’re not seeing them for what the truly are… Advertising machines. Why is it that the only golds that china seems to getting are judged. You watch an event that has no subjectivity involved, e.g. timed or measured, and chances are you’ll see a podium w/out any chinese atheletes. It’ll be the same way in London in four years, just as it is in all host nations. Ratings, ratings, ratings.
