There's also San Diego here, as well as Venice Beach and San Fransisco. I'm not sure about the bias. From what I see no one really judges people like that. At least not around where I live. A middle class hotel would be somewhere around $80 - $100 a day I believe. The sunniest places would be really anywhere as long as the weather is nice. The hottest place would be Palm Springs, more then likely. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the city of Encinitas.
